Placements24 seeks an Industrial Engineer with automation expertise for its Upington operations. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems within a manufacturing environment, leveraging PLCs, robotics, and SCADA to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in automation-focused industrial engineering, strong data analysis skills, and a collaborative approach to integrate new technologies on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in industrial engineering with automation/systems integration focus.
• Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining automated systems.
• Familiarity with control systems, PLCs, robotics, and industrial networking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing system issues.
• Proficiency in data analysis and process simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated systems and control processes.
• Analyze workflows and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Evaluate automation technologies including PLCs, SCADA, and robotics.
