Job description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Design, code and implement systems for a variety of INSETA data processing needs; perform data administration, data migration, user requirements gathering and analysis, enhancements of existing systems to meet changes in legislation and business processes; develop maintenance and user documentation to support systems; test and debug programs for accuracy and reliability; and user training.

  • Analysis, development, and implementation of the MIS system.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirement : Grade 12 or equivalent and a relevant Bachelor’s degree qualification (NQF Level 7) in MIS, CIS, Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics or Business Analytics.

Preferred Requirement : NQF 8 qualification in MIS, CIS, Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics or Business Analytics.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Requirement : A minimum of Five (5) years’ experience with experience of Full Stack Development skills preferably in the public sector as an Independent Contractor.

Certification in Odoo or Python

Experience in Python, XML, JavaScript, SQL, CSS3, HTML 5, and other languages and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, SQL), web servers (e.g., NGINX) and UI / UX design, Microsoft Azure DevOps, GitHub; working knowledge of Linux OS.

Understanding of the SETA’s Reporting processes such as NLRD and SETMIS and be able to develop and implement the files
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge and understanding of the PFMA and NT regulations

Knowledge and understanding of the appropriate legislative and regulatory frameworks. (PPPFA, BBBEE etc.)

ITIL and Cobit frameworks for application in the Service Management and Corporate Governance fields.
