Job summary

PwC South Africa is seeking an Independence Specialist (Manager) to support the Partner Responsible for Independence (PRI) and monitor compliance with external independence laws and internal policies. You will help manage PwC’s regulatory risk while coaching teams and promoting integrity across the firm.

The role offers on-site work in Johannesburg with on-the-job training, collaboration across practice areas, and opportunities to advance within the independence function.

Qualifications

• Coaching and communication skills required.
• Ability to analyse data with accuracy.
• Strong client service focus at all levels.
• Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to digital world.
• Experience in financial services or audit is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Independence support systems, processes and activities.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery Center teams for Independence processes.
• Respond to Independence queries from partners, staff and engagement teams.
• Deliver training to business units when required.
• Monitor compliance with Independence policies and controls.
• Perform compliance testing over client engagement teams.
