JSE Limited is seeking a technically skilled professional to act as a Financial Reporting Authority under IFRS. The role focuses on ruling regulatory positions and ensuring high standards in financial reporting within the market.

You will engage with senior stakeholders, produce clear technical conclusions, and contribute to shaping market practice through external committee involvement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IFRS requirements and their application to the business environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication of technical accounting matters.
• Ability to analyse information from various sources to detect trends and cause-effect relationships.

Responsibilities

• Execute analysis of financial statements to identify non-compliance with IFRS and GRAP and contribute to the integrity of financial reporting.
• Apply advanced technical judgement to resolve routine and complex IFRS accounting matters.
• Draft regulatory correspondence with precise detail and defend technical positions.
• Manage PM process in a pragmatic, business-friendly manner while promoting high-quality reporting.
