Job Purpose
Work with multidisciplinary Instrumentation and Control and SCADA skills to ensure preventive and proactive maintenance and operation of the plant to achieve factory performance targets.
Responsibilities
- Preventive maintenance, back up all software related equipment, cyber security, Dfos and BuildApp.
- Familiarize yourself with the Factory Cybersecurity standards and guidance available.
- Support the central team if malicious threats are identified at site with regard to Cyber Security.
- Manage the cyber-hygiene of the site. Ensure basic repairs and efficient operation of equipment and production of a quality product.
- Perform all work in compliance with established safety, GMP and UMS standards.
- Respond to breakdowns and other issues reported to Maintenance to minimize operational delays.
- Troubleshoot, fine tune or adjust equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Routine visual inspection and testing of equipment and structures to identify and report any need for scheduled repairs.
- Instrumentation, Electrical and Control work; interpret from schematics and electrical drawings; installation and alignment of machinery and equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities (UMS, R2S, WCM or similar).
- Follow department and plant procedures related to preventive maintenance systems, obtaining parts, and taking corrective action when hazardous or potential loss conditions are found.
- Keep tools, equipment and work area safe, clean and orderly; work safely around equipment, tools and co-workers.
- Other duties as requested by supervision; work with and assist Artisans and operations personnel as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- ICE scheduled maintenance such as calibrations and software backups.
- Supporting projects.
- Assist artisans on repairs.
- Skills transfer.
- Documentation.
Experiences & Qualifications
- Minimum N4 qualification plus trade test OR National Diploma/BTech in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Must have 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably with FMCG exposure in manufacturing process and packing. Soap making experience advantageous.
- Ability to perform all duties associated with position, with minimal supervision.
Skills
- Full understanding of control systems.
- Understanding of network protocols, PLCs, SCADA development, Batch, servo and AC drives; Allen Bradley experience advantageous.
