A financial services firm in Cape Town is seeking an I&O Operations Support Engineer to oversee IT operations and deliver end-user support. As an I&O Operations Support Engineer youll be responsible for monitoring infrastructure providing end-user support managing business applications and assisting with IT security networks and asset management. Youll also have the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders contribute to IT projects and ensure our operations meet the highest standards.
Managing the day-to-day Operations to provide delivery of systems and services in order to meet or exceed objectives and service levels.
Professional Certifications (any combination applicable)
57 years IT experience preferably in geographically and technically complex environments
Experience with IT operations monitoring reporting and support
Exposure to infrastructure monitoring and asset management
Strong technical knowledge across Microsoft and Azure platforms
Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify elevate and minimize IT risks
Interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with end-users and stakeholders
Planning & organizing skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
Time management to meet deadlines and service levels
Documentation skills to maintain accurate IT records and reports
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and in alignment with business needs
Adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving IT environment
Proficient in Microsoft Server Exchange Active Directory O365 / Azure RDS DNS / DHCP and Azure Virtual Desktop.
Skilled in IT security compliance and audit support (including Mimecast and AD account checks).
Experienced in LAN / WAN support telephony connectivity and end-user access.
Strong background in IT operations monitoring risk management and asset management.
Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and implementation of best practice processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective communicator with solid interpersonal skills.
Team player with collaborative approach across departments.
Builds and maintains professional stakeholder relationships.
Flexible and adaptable in changing complex environments.
