Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Hygiene Technician to ensure the highest cleanliness standards within Benoni facilities. You will perform cleaning tasks, operate specialized equipment, and adhere to strict safety protocols to maintain a safe, healthy environment for staff and visitors.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and good physical stamina for long shifts. Prior cleaning or hygiene experience is preferred, along with knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper PPE

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or hygiene-related role preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants and their safe application.
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning machinery and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to thoroughness.
• Good physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Reliability and punctuality in reporting for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine and specialized cleaning tasks in designated areas, including production floors, offices, and common spaces.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and used safely.
• Handle and apply cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
• Dispose of waste materials and refuse in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure all sanitation standards are met and report any deficiencies.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
