Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Hygiene and Sanitation Supervisor for a premier hospitality client in Paarl, Western Cape. You will lead cleaning staff, implement sanitation schedules, and ensure guest areas, back-of-house, and public spaces meet strict hygiene and safety standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, training of teams, and robust knowledge of hygiene protocols in hospitality. On-site position with weekend and holiday flexibility, contributing to guest satisfaction and regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role in hotel housekeeping or similar.
• Proven ability to train cleaning teams.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation standards, and hygiene best practices.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations for food service and accommodation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily housekeeping staff to required standards.
• Develop and monitor cleaning and sanitation schedules for all areas.
• Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness and safety.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Train staff on proper techniques and hygiene practices.
• Resolve guest or staff cleanliness complaints promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
• Maintain records of activities, performance, and inventory.
