Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Hygiene and Sanitation Officer for Benoni to champion cleanliness and safety across sites. You will develop and enforce hygiene programs, conduct inspections, train staff, and address issues to protect employees and the public.

With a strong background in sanitation management and excellent communication skills, you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies while maintaining thorough documentation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in hygiene management, sanitation, or a related compliance role.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, or healthcare hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive hygiene and sanitation programs.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with standards.
• Train staff on proper hygiene techniques, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
• Investigate and address hygiene-related issues or customer complaints promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, and corrective actions taken.
• Stay up-to-date with regulations and best practices in hygiene and sanitation.
