Placements24 is seeking a diligent Hygiene Operative to support its Soweto facilities. The role focuses on cleaning, sanitization, and maintaining a safe, healthy environment for staff and visitors.

You will follow health and safety protocols, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure hygienic standards throughout the premises. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work under limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hygiene or cleaning role is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Good physical stamina and the capability to perform manual tasks.
• A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitization of designated areas, including public spaces, offices, and restrooms.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with company guidelines.
• Replenish stock of cleaning supplies and amenities as needed.
• Identify and report any potential health or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and infection control procedures.
