Placements24 is seeking a knowledgeable Hygiene and Sanitation Officer for East London. You will develop, implement, and monitor hygiene protocols to uphold high cleanliness standards and regulatory compliance within facilities in the Eastern Cape.

You will train staff, conduct inspections, manage sanitation inventory, and stay current with industry regulations and best practices to support operational integrity and public health.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in hygiene or sanitation, preferably in industrial/commercial settings.
• Strong microbiology, infection control, and food-safety knowledge.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and observational skills.
• Proficient in report writing and data analysis.
• Certification in hygiene or sanitation is highly desirable.
