Job summary

Kempe Engineering Australia seeks experienced Hydraulic / Fluid Power Service Technicians to join our Australian branches to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Roles involve diagnosing faults, servicing hydraulic components, reading schematics and ensuring health and safety compliance across multiple sites and workshops.

Qualifications

• A trade qualification as a fitter or equivalent with hydraulic experience.
• Experience in hydraulic hose assemblies, tube manufacture and installation.
• Formal fluid power post trade training or relevant industry experience would be highly regarded.
• Have a high safety focus.
• Be able to pass pre-employment medical.
• A family-based work culture.
• Ability to both work across multiple sites and a workshop.

Responsibilities

• Using testing equipment to diagnose, repair and maintain fluid power components and systems.
• Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
• Diagnosing and recommending solutions to fluid power problems.
• Identify and repair fluid power components such as pumps, cylinders, valves reservoirs, motors, accumulators, hose fittings and filters.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
• Installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
• Ensure all work is completed to health, safety, environment and quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including site owner representatives
