Job summary

Prominent management consultancy in Centurion, Gauteng, seeks a Management Consultant for Risk Advisory. You will identify and assess risks, develop frameworks, design controls, and advise on governance and regulatory matters across sectors.

You will prepare client-ready reports and present findings to senior leadership. The role requires a Master’s degree and 4+ years in risk advisory, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in risk advisory, internal audit, compliance, or a related field within management consulting.
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000) and governance principles.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage client engagements effectively and build strong professional relationships.
• Familiarity with the South African regulatory landscape is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities across various business functions.
• Develop and implement tailored risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures for clients.
• Advise clients on compliance with relevant industry regulations and governance standards.
• Design and test internal controls to mitigate identified risks effectively.
• Assist clients in developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide insights and recommendations on emerging risks, such as cybersecurity, geopolitical, and environmental risks.
• Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations to client leadership on risk management strategies and findings.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management.
• Stay updated on the latest risk management best practices and regulatory changes.
