Placements24 is seeking a motivated Public Relations Coordinator in Upington to support the communications team. You will assist with PR strategies, manage media relations, and help tell the company story through press materials, social posts, and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in PR, communications, or a relevant internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with good grammar and style.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic PR principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and distributing press releases and media advisories.
• Monitor media outlets for mentions and industry news; compile reports.
• Coordinate media events, press conferences, and promotional activities.
• Help manage and update media contact databases.
• Contribute to development of communications materials, including presentations and social content.
• Provide administrative support to the Public Relations department.
