Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Operations Manager to lead and optimize manufacturing operations in Vereeniging. This hybrid role combines on-site leadership with remote oversight to drive efficiency, quality, and cost management.

You will manage teams, develop strategic plans, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while coordinating with other departments to enable business success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within manufacturing.
• Proven track record of managing production processes and teams.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with operational software and remote management tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, meeting targets for production, quality, and cost.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity and profitability.
• Lead and develop operational teams to foster a high-performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with sales, R&D and finance using remote platforms for integrated planning.
