Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking a strategic Logistics & Supply Chain Planner to optimize the end-to-end flow of goods across South Africa. You will lead demand forecasting, inventory planning and transportation optimization while collaborating with procurement, manufacturing, sales and logistics teams to drive efficiency and cost savings.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in logistics or SCM, with at least four years in planning or operations, and strong data-analysis skills.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years in supply chain planning, logistics, or operations management.
• Experience with demand forecasting, inventory management, and transportation planning.
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills; ERP/WMS experience desirable.

• Develop and manage integrated supply chain plans including demand forecasting and inventory optimization.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, sales and logistics to align activities with business objectives.
• Plan and manage inventory levels across locations to meet demand while minimizing costs.
• Optimize transportation routes and modes for cost-effectiveness and timeliness.
• Maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers.
• Monitor KPIs and develop action plans for deviations.

• Implement and manage supply chain best practices and continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports and presentations on supply chain performance for senior management.
