Placements24 is seeking a Junior Legal Officer to join its Bloemfontein team. The role targets early-career legal professionals who will support the department with research, document management, and admin tasks in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

LLB degree or equivalent qualification.
0-3 years of post-qualification experience in a legal setting.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic understanding of legal software.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Willingness to learn and adapt to a hybrid working model in Bloemfontein.

Responsibilities

Assist in conducting legal research on various topics and preparing summaries.
Help draft and review legal documents, correspondence, and agreements under supervision.
Organise and maintain legal files, ensuring all documents are properly stored and accessible.
Support the legal team with administrative tasks, including scheduling and meetings preparation.
Liaise with internal departments and external parties as required.
Monitor compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
