Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in insurance underwriting.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills for risk assessment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional underwriting designations (ACII, AU) desirable.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess insurance applications to evaluate risks and determine terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Analyze financial data, loss history, and other relevant information for underwriting decisions.
• Develop and maintain understanding of various insurance products and market segments.
• Communicate underwriting decisions and rationale to brokers, agents, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborate with claims for input on complex risks and risk management strategies.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and new product development.
• Monitor portfolio performance and adjust strategies as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitive actions.
