Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Cryptocurrency Trader to join our Mossel Bay trading desk. You will execute trades, manage risk, and identify profitable opportunities in the volatile digital asset market, working closely with research and portfolio teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of market dynamics, technical and fundamental analysis, and quantitative reasoning, with a hybrid work setup between office and remote. A quantitative finance background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a trader, preferably in cryptocurrency or high-frequency trading.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, trading strategies, and risk management.
• Proficiency in technical and fundamental analysis of digital assets.
• Excellent quantitative skills and data analysis experience.
• Ability to stay calm and make rational decisions under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.

Responsabilités

• Execute trades for a diverse portfolio of cryptocurrencies across various exchanges.
• Develop, backtest, and implement quantitative trading strategies based on market analysis and data.
• Monitor market trends, news, and sentiment to identify potential trading opportunities and risks.
