Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Cryptocurrency Exchange Developer to join their Vereeniging team in a hybrid role. You will help build the core infrastructure for a high-performance trading platform, focusing on secure, scalable backend systems for real-time trading and asset management.

You will design and optimize the order matching engine, develop trading and wallet APIs, and work with blockchain nodes while maintaining strong security and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced fintech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of backend development, with trading systems or financial platforms.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, Go, or Python.
• Experience with distributed systems, high-frequency trading tech, and low-latency programming.
• Familiarity with blockchain tech, wallets, and transaction processing.
• Understanding of financial market data, order types, and trading protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust backend systems for a cryptocurrency exchange, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
• Build and optimize the order matching engine for high throughput and low latency.
• Develop and integrate APIs for trading, wallet management, and user account functionalities.
• Work with blockchain nodes and APIs to manage deposits and withdrawals securely.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver a seamless trading experience.
• Ensure security best practices and regulatory compliance within the crypto trading environment.
