Qualifications

• LLB degree required and admitted to the High Court.
• 3–5 years post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law preferred.
• Ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate and commercial matters including formations and restructurings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate shareholder and joint venture agreements and service contracts.
• Assist in mergers, acquisitions and disposals from due diligence to closing.
• Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned advice on corporate issues.
• Ensure compliance with South African corporate laws and regulations.
• Manage client relationships as the primary contact for corporate needs.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated legal solutions.
• Stay updated on legislative changes affecting corporate law.
• Prepare opinions and reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development and growth of the corporate practice.
