Placements24 seeks an Underwriting Administrator for a well-established insurer in Centurion, Gauteng. You will support the underwriting team in commercial lines, manage policy records, and assist with underwriting-ready documentation.

The role requires strong organizational skills, 2+ years admin experience, and proficiency in MS Office. Hybrid work arrangements are offered with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an administrative role, preferably in insurance.
• Solid understanding of insurance principles, especially commercial lines.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Experience with insurance administration systems (e.g., XPlan, Generic) is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with brokers and internal teams.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
• Confidentiality and data integrity are essential.

Responsibilities

• Process new commercial insurance applications with complete documentation.
• Issue policy documents, endorsements, and renewal notices accurately.
• Maintain and update policyholder records in the core system.
• Liaise with brokers/agents to gather underwriting information.
• Assist underwriters with risk analysis reports and presentations.
• Handle general administrative tasks such as filing and data entry.
• Respond to broker queries regarding policy details and procedures.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis for the underwriting team.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
• Contribute to process improvements within the administrative function.
