Placements24 seeks an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments. The role supports Upington operations and involves collaborating with infrastructure and development teams to build secure cloud architectures.

You will implement cloud security tooling, conduct vulnerability management, and drive secure CI/CD practices within a hybrid work model. A strong security background and relevant cloud certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years in cloud security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure and GCP security services.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (AWS/Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain security solutions for cloud platforms.
• Implement and manage cloud security tools including IAM, WAFs, and monitoring.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability management for cloud infra.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies and best practices.
• Respond to cloud security incidents and coordinate remediation.
• Collaborate with DevOps to ensure secure CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
