Placements24 is seeking an experienced Agricultural Supply Chain Manager in Upington to optimize farm-to-market logistics. You will oversee sourcing, procurement, warehousing, and distribution while coordinating with farmers, processors, and retailers to ensure efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, logistics, business admin, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in supply chain management, with focus on agricultural/food industry.
• Strong understanding of agricultural commodity flow, logistics, and distribution channels.
• Experience in managing supplier networks and negotiating contracts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in SCM software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire agricultural supply chain, from raw material sourcing to final product delivery.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance delivery times.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, farmers, transporters, and other supply chain partners.
• Optimize inventory levels and warehousing operations to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
• Implement and monitor KPIs for supply chain operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry legislation.
