Placements24 in Cape Town seeks an experienced HVAC Installation and Repair Specialist to join our essential service team. You will install, diagnose and repair HVAC systems for clients across the Western Cape, delivering quality workmanship and reliable field service.

Responsibilities include installation of new units, diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and clear communication of findings and recommendations to customers. A trade qualification and good customer service are required.

Qualifications

Demonstrable experience in HVAC installation and repair.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting HVAC technical manuals and schematics.
Certification or trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning is highly desirable.
Knowledge of various HVAC system types and refrigerants.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a focus on practical solutions.
Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor on site.

Responsibilities

Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, refrigeration lines, and control panels.
Conduct thorough diagnostics on malfunctioning HVAC equipment using specialized tools.
Perform repairs on compressors, motors, fans, and thermostats.
Carry out preventative maintenance schedules for longevity and efficiency.
Provide clients with explanations of work performed and recommended solutions.
Maintain records of service calls, parts used, and time spent on each job.
