Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician (Permanent) in Franschoek / Paarl to join the maintenance team. You will install, service and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems, including freezer rooms, ice machines and display fridges, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

The role requires a technical HVAC qualification or certification, around 2 years of relevant experience, and hands-on skills with brazing, soldering, and the use of hand

Qualifications

• HVAC / air-conditioning qualification or certification.
• Around 2 years experience with refrigeration or air-conditioning systems.
• Experience with installations, repairs, fault finding, servicing and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair air-conditioning and ventilation systems.
• Service and maintain freezer rooms, ice machines and display fridges.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Identify maintenance risks or equipment problems.
• Keep daily maintenance logs and service records.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support general maintenance tasks as required.
