Qualifications
  • Grade 12.
  • Valid drivers license / own reliable transport.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Organisation Psychology or Business.
  • Competent computer skills (Email / Microsoft Office).
  • 5+ yrs working experience as a Human Resources Officer / Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions and managing the employment process.
  • Orientating new employees and training existing employees.
  • Facilitating on-boarding week at commencement of employment.
  • Monitoring employee performance.
  • Overseeing the health and safety of all employees.
  • Implementing systematic staff development procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and hard copy formats.
  • Drawing up, and obtaining approval for policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable legislative requirements, not limited to Skills Development, Employment Equity, Labour Relations Act and BCEA.
  • Maintaining all employee records and paperwork.
  • Answering employee questions and addressing employee concerns with company.
  • Ensure leave applications are processed in a timely manner, including ensuring that the applications are received from the relevant departmental managers.
  • Assist staff with their medical aid and gap membership, if on the companys policy.
