Job summary

A progressive private girls' school in Kloof, KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a Human Resources Manager to provide comprehensive HR support. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of HR experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work ethically within a school environment. HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER JANUARY 2026

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated candidate for this Executive Committee position to provide comprehensive Human Resources and Management support services. The successful candidate will report to the Executive Principal and Human Capital Board Committee.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 year’s experience in Human Resources, ideally in an educational environment
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment practices, remuneration, labour laws and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work confidentially, ethically and collaboratively

Responsibilities & Skills Required:

  • Strategic Human Resources Leadership
  • Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Compliance with Labour Laws and regulations
  • Ensure staff files, contracts and compliance documentation are accurate and audit ready
  • Employee relations and wellbeing
  • Manage employee concerns, grievances and disciplinary procedures
  • HR Administration and Payroll and Related Journal Processing (VIP)
  • HR Reporting and Policy Adherence
  • An excellent command of English (both spoken and written). Conversational isiZulu and Afrikaans will be an advantage.
  • The independence and flexibility to work outside of normal office hours when required.
  • Support the Christian ethos and values of the school.
