Qualifications

We're on the lookout for an energetic and driven HR Manager who can help us develop and maintain effective HR strategies, policies, and compliance, all while fostering a positive culture that aligns with AVT’s core values.

MAIN OUTCOMES

Develop, implement, and maintain HR strategies and policies in line with AVT’s business goals. Build strong bridges between management and employees, resolving issues effectively and professionally. Foster an engaging and positive culture that inspires performance and growth. Ensure legal compliance across all HR functions, and lead BEE programs and strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • HR Strategy Development: Align HR strategies, policies, and initiatives with business goals to create an impactful HR framework.
  • Employee Relations: Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and other employee relations matters, ensuring a fair and supportive environment.
  • Recruitment & Talent Management: Drive the recruitment process and focus on talent retention.
  • Culture & Performance: Develop and nurture a performance‑driven culture while ensuring KPIs and appraisals are aligned with departmental goals.
  • BEE Strategy & Legal Compliance: Develop and maintain BEE strategies, ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and monitor employee development programs to boost individual and team performance.
  • Health & Safety: Oversee employee health and safety compliance to ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

3 – 5 years of senior HR experience, preferably in a similar industry. A relevant tertiary qualification HR or a related field is essential. A solid understanding of South African Labour Law will be a major plus. Experience in developing and maintaining BEE programs and strategies will be beneficial.
