We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Human Resources Manager to oversee and strengthen our HR department. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with deep knowledge of California labor and employment laws, as well as experience consulting for California-based businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain employee files and all HR documentation within HR Cloud (proficiency required).
  • Review and advise on organizational policies, strategic planning, and the annual budget.
  • Develop, implement, and improve personnel policies and procedures.
  • Conduct exit interviews and document feedback to enhance company culture and retention strategies.
  • Lead HR programs including benefits, compensation, performance evaluations, compliance training, and employee development.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train new employees.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of all internal reports, documentation, and records.
  • Provide guidance on employee–manager relations, including sensitive matters such as EEO, harassment policies, and CA-specific workplace requirements.
  • Manage full onboarding and offboarding processes, including reference checks and terminations.
Qualifications
  • Strong, demonstrable understanding of California labor laws, HR regulations, and compliance practices (mandatory).
  • Experience providing HR consulting for California-based businesses.
  • SHRM certification (or equivalent HR credential) preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience as an HR Manager, Senior HR Generalist, or similar HR leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
