Head of Department for our Human Resources
Whats the job all about

As the Human Resources Head of Department you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization’s people strategy and fostering a positive work environment. You will lead a team of HR professionals to attract, develop and retain top talent while also ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

What are your key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and offboarding.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters including employee relations, conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead the development and implementation of training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Drive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
  • Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to continuously improve HR processes and policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals and promote a positive company culture.
These are the desirable qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. (Master’s degree preferred)
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification highly desirable.
  • 3 years of progressive experience in human resources roles with 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Experience working with Sage VIP, HR Premier and ESS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of South African employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
