Overview

Human Capital Manager (JB5684) — Mbombela (Nelspruit), Mpumalanga. On-site

Salary: R45 000 - R55 000 CTC per month • Permanent

As Human Capital Manager, you’ll run the full HC operations portfolio for a centralised Mbombela hub — recruitment, performance, employee relations, payroll coordination, and compliance — while contributing to the organisation’s people strategy. You’ll partner closely with business leaders and receive mentorship to grow into a more strategic leadership role, developing the systems, culture, and capabilities that support sustainable performance.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology. Postgraduate is an advantage.
  • Five to eight years as a Human Capital/ HR generalist with operational ownership.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS. Payroll coordination exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour law, including BCEA, LRA, EE, OHSA, COIDA, and POPIA.
  • Recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Performance enablement and coaching.
  • Employment Equity reporting and committees.
  • SETA WSP and ATR. Compliance training.
  • Workforce planning and HC metrics.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end Human Capital operations for the Mbombela hub including policies, procedures, records, and HC reporting
  • Drive talent acquisition, structured onboarding, and probation management
  • Partner with managers on performance enablement, coaching, and development plans
  • Manage employee relations aligned to legislation and company policy
  • Coordinate payroll inputs and statutory submissions with Finance and maintain accurate records
  • Run Employment Equity forums and submissions and track agreed actions
  • Prepare and submit SETA WSP and ATR and coordinate compliance and capability training
  • Ensure legal compliance and audit readiness across BCEA, LRA, EE, OHSA, COIDA, and POPIA
  • Track HC metrics such as headcount, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment SLAs, and training and recommend improvements
  • Continuously refine HC processes and systems to improve speed, accuracy, and employee experience
