A leading Electrical services company is seeking a competent SACPCMP HSSE Safety and Compliance Manager to join their Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will manage HSSE compliance with a strong emphasis on administrative functions. Prospective applicants should have experience with safety management, a valid SACPCMP certification, and excellent English communication skills. The role requires a leader who can establish a strong HSSE culture and ensure compliance with policies.
Our client, a leading Electrical services company, is seeking to employ a competent and efficient SACPCMP HSSE Safety and Compliance Manager at their operation in Johannesburg Office.
This is a fast paced, constantly changing working environment, therefore we do need a candidate who is able to function under pressure and have an innovative and motivating approach to HSSE and Compliance.
The role is suited to a person with high administrative skills and attention to detail.
The workload split is 80% administrative functions and 20% site based functions.
The branch consists of approx 15 teams and about 45 team members.
You will have completed Matric, a qualification in Safety Management, as well as a valid SACPCMP certification coupled with 2-3 years experience in managing HSSE and Compliance, including initiating systems and procedures. You will have experience in coordinating and ensuring HSSE and Compliance according to clients and the company's policies and procedures, as well as ensuring daily, weekly and monthly checklists and reports are complete and recorded according to policies. Comfortable working with Job Management Systems including allocating Purchase Orders, Serial numbers and maintaining Job Management databases for safety compliance.
Formatting budgets and working with Excel is a requirement. You will have a proven track record in incident investigations, audits, training and recommending change and improvements. You will have experience in HSSE administration, to include consolidation of safety files for sites, vehicles and arranging training for staff where necessary.
Evidence of working on a Safety management platform is critical. You will be a leader in establishing HSSE culture excellence, as well as ensure tools, equipment, PPE and related are in good order and available to staff where necessary. You will have a valid driver's license. Excellent communication skills in English is a requirement.
