  • Managing payroll and time‑related queries from stores and management
  • Ensuring statutory compliance (PAYE, UIF, SDL) and accurate submissions
  • Maintaining payroll and timekeeping records, reconciliations, and reports
HR Generalist Functions
  • Managing the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, induction, transfers, and exits
  • Implementing, maintaining, and enforcing HR policies and procedures, including disciplinary and grievance policies
  • Advising and supporting management on employee relations, misconduct, incapacity, poor performance, and disciplinary hearings
  • Ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE Act, Skills Development Act, COIDA)
  • Managing Employment Equity (EE) compliance, committee coordination, and statutory reporting
  • Coordinating Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR) and liaising with SETAs
  • Managing training administration and skills development initiatives
  • Supporting performance management processes and HR best practice
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR reporting
  • Providing HR support and guidance to line and store management across multiple business units
Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field
  • Proven PaySpace payroll experience (non‑negotiable)
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a generalist HR and payroll role, preferably within a retail or multi‑site environment
  • Experience managing time and attendance systems across multiple business units
  • Strong working knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR compliance
