Job summary

The successful candidate will offer labour relations guidance, support disciplinary processes, and represent the organisation at CCMA/NBCRFLI. Salary ranges from R60 000 to R70 000 per month (CTC).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Industrial Psychology or HR Management (minimum).
  • 5–7 years’ HR experience at junior to mid-management level in a similar environment.
  • HR specialist expertise with labour relations and CCMA/NBCRFLI representation.
  • Knowledge of HR legislation, Labour Relations Act, and payroll/HRIS processes.
  • Intermediate MS Office proficiency; experience with SAGE People/SAGE 300 People preferred.
  • Knowledge of ReMeasure job grading, LexisNexis checks, Graylink e-Recruitment and in-house performance systems.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, negotiation and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment and selection: advertise, screen, longlists, interviews, and present candidates to management.
  • Conduct criminal, identity and qualification checks, ensure starter packs.
  • Create roles and employee profiles on SAGE; capture data and meet payroll deadlines.
  • Ensure HR documents are completed, filed, and personnel files maintained.
  • Assist with Employment Equity reporting and training initiatives.
  • Review and update HR policies annually.
  • Administer retirement and medical aid documentation for payroll and records.
  • Advise on industrial relations matters and disciplinary actions.
  • Identify workplace concerns and ensure compliance with IR policies.
  • Support disciplinary, appeal and grievance hearings.
  • Stay updated on labour legislation and case law.
  • Represent the organisation at CCMA/NBCRFLI in mediation/arbitration.
  • Assist with Sections 197 and 189 labour matters.
  • Prepare monthly HR reports on hires, terminations, promotions and vacancies.
  • Monitor labour-broker appointments to minimise risk.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Industrial Psychology or Human Resources Management
5–7 years HR experience in a similar environment
HR administration, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, talent and change management, employee relations
Labour relations knowledge incl. CCMA/NBCRFLI
Microsoft Office proficiency
Experience with HRIS systems (SAGE People, SAGE 300 People)
ReMeasure job grading, LexisNexis checks, Graylink e-Recruitment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence and negotiate
Driver’s license (Code B)
