Job Title:

HR Officer

We are seeking to employ a highly skilled and experienced HR Officer.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of HR Officer based in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni.

This position reports directly to the HR Manager.

The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and smooth run of the HR office. The candidate will provide adequate support through planning and implementing an effective internal control system pertaining to the HR office, following all procedures and processes as per company policy and the HR Manager. The candidate needs to be a self-starter with attention to detail and bring a positive energy to the work environment, with a willingness to excel in their role.

This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, as well as legislation.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for all employee inquiries and requests, providing exceptional support through various channels.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for new employees.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and representing the company in CCMA.
  • Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Consistently and seamlessly execute day-to-day people operations tasks, including but not limited to contract management, payroll, benefits, leave administration, etc.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws and regulations.
  • Manage HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records and payroll processing.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Proven 5 years' experience as HR officer, administrator, or other HR position.

Knowledge of HR functions (payamp; benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.).

Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures. Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus.

Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude. Strong ethics and reliability.
