A well-established metal and engineering firm in Gauteng is seeking an HR Officer. The role entails managing HR operations, administering payroll via Sage systems, and facilitating psychometric assessments. An ideal candidate will have a diploma in HR, at least 3 years of generalist HR experience, and knowledge of MIBFA and MEIBC compliance. Competitive remuneration is offered, ranging from R360,000 to R420,000 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience within the metal or engineering industry is essential.
  • Experience with MIBFA and MEIBC benefits and bargaining council processes essential.

HR Officer – Metal and Engineering Specialist

A well-established metal and engineering specialist serving the industrial sector is currently seeking an HR Officer to join their team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations across multiple functions including recruitment, onboarding, and off‑boarding.
  • Administer payroll using Sage Cloud-based Payroll and Sage VIP Cloud.
  • Coordinate MIBFA (Metal Industries Benefit Funds Administrators) and MEIBC (Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council) compliance and benefits administration.
  • Support employee relations, performance management, leave and absence tracking, and general HR administration.
  • Facilitate psychometric assessments as part of candidate screening and employee development.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate relevant reports.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
