Role Overview
The HR Manager is responsible for leading all HR-related functions at Apollo Gaming, ensuring effective support, compliance, and engagement across our expanding team. This role requires a well-rounded HR professional capable of handling every aspect of HR, from recruitment and employee relations to payroll and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, and exits.
- Maintain and implement HR-related policies aligned with company culture and operational priorities.
- Lead disciplinary hearings, handle disputes, mediate employee relations cases, and support management in resolving HR issues.
- Drive payroll, benefits administration, succession planning, and retention initiatives.
- Champion staff engagement and well-being programs; help foster a productive, innovative, and diverse workplace.
- Ensure HR practices comply with labour regulations and support ongoing legal compliance (including basic licensing queries, compliance documentation, and risk audits).
- Represent Apollo at labour forums such as the CCMA when needed (specialist legal experience not required but advantageous).
- Advise leadership on HR trends, team culture, and legislative developments relevant to staff management.
Who You Are
- Experienced HR professional (minimum 5 years HR experience, preferably with at least 2 years in a leadership role).
- Qualification in Human Resources or related field preferred; additional HR certifications are welcomed.
- Excellent communicator and skilled mediator capable of handling sensitive staff matters discretely and professionally.
- Driven organiser able to manage multiple priorities, projects, and HR functions independently.
- Previous experience in gaming, betting, or digital sectors is a plus but not required.
