About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to lead our Human Resources function.

This role plays a key part in developing and executing people strategies that align with business goals, promote a positive workplace culture, and drive employee engagement and performance. You'll be responsible for both strategic planning and hands-on operational HR management, ensuring that our HR processes support a growing, innovative, and people-focused organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the annual HR budget.
  • Lead recruitment and selection processes – from job design and advertising to interviews and offers.
  • Manage job grading and conduct annual salary benchmarking.
  • Oversee onboarding and exit processes to ensure smooth employee transitions.
  • Drive the performance management and reward framework, linking outcomes to recognition.
  • Conduct training needs analyses, develop competency frameworks, and submit annual WSP / ATR reports.
  • Manage employment equity reporting and chair EE committee meetings.
  • Handle employee relations – including disciplinary and grievance processes, union engagement, and worker forums.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant HR records and employee files.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • A degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an HR Manager role.
  • Experience working with unions is highly recommended.
  • Exposure to agriculture and hospitality industries will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of PaySpace Payroll and ERS Bio systems is beneficial.
