Minimum requirements
Matric/Honours degree (NQF 8) in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, or Industrial/Organisational Psychology. Master’s degree (NQF 9) in a related field (advantageous).
Qualifications
- Years of progressive HR management experience, including at least 15 years in a senior HR leadership or HR executive position.
- Labour relations expertise with a proven track record of working within a unionised environment and extensive experience engaging with bargaining councils.
- In-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation, COIDA, Employment Equity, and BBBEE.
- Experience in performance management and succession planning.
- Expertise in remuneration and reward practices.
- Strong HR compliance, governance, and strategy execution skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee HR strategy and delivery to align initiatives with business objectives. Manage talent acquisition to attract, select, and retain high performers. Design and develop organisational structures for growth and efficiency. Ensure HR governance and compliance with statutory and company regulations. Oversee payroll, remuneration, and reward management. Manage performance processes to drive productivity and accountability. Implement talent management and succession planning for workforce continuity. Oversee employment equity and BBBEE management in line with legislation. Manage skills development and training programmes to enhance employee capability. Handle labour relations management, ensuring fair and consistent practices. Act as liaison between employer and employee to support a collaborative work environment. Maintain integrity and approachability to discuss sensitive matters. Analyse and interpret HR data, presenting insights professionally. Apply influencing and negotiating skills to implement HR strategies and policies effectively.
