Job summary

A leading agricultural services provider in George Area is seeking a qualified HR professional to manage various HR functions within a soft fruit production unit. Key responsibilities include overseeing staff wellbeing, recruitment, and compliance with employment equity standards. The ideal candidate will have a National Diploma or Degree in HR, 3+ years of HR experience, and strong management skills. Interested candidates should possess good computer literacy skills, especially in Sage Payroll and Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

  • Previous agricultural related experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in operational environment, preferably.
  • Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all HR functions such as staff wellbeing and recruitment.
  • Facilitate disciplinary hearings and liaise with unions.
  • Capture data on Sage Payroll Professional and manage staff contracts.

Skills

Computer literacy in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Strong management skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with and motivate a team

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma/ Degree in HR
  • Previous Agricultural related experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in operational environment, preferably
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (excel, outlook, word)
  • Previous HR experience essential
  • Must have strong management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with and motivate a team
  • Valid Driver’s license

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
  • Compiling of Job Profiles
  • Manage Staff Contracts
  • Manage the Biometric System
  • Manage and capture attendance register
  • Capture data on Sage Payroll Professional
  • Good knowledge of Sage will be an advantage
  • Excel Advance capabilities
  • Compile monthly wages
  • Assist and support Farm Business Manager
  • Manage Provident Fund
  • Fluency in Xhosa language would be a bonus
