A leading human resources firm in Durban is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR functions and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have extensive HR experience, including business partnership and governance framework oversight. Strong skills in employee relations, performance management, and change management are essential. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR Management and is open to individuals with gaming industry experience.
Summary : The Human Resources Manager will be responsible to lead and manage the HR team and is accountable for the strategic delivery and integration of all functions and processes across the full HR value chain for the business (including the HR Operational team, the ER Team, and Learning team), with the aim of ensuring effective people plans to support the achievement of the business strategy of the unit; in line with budget, gaming board regulations, client standards and legislative compliance.
This includes the talent management and learning portfolio, performance management, the talent review process, succession management, mentorship and coaching, employee engagement, organisational development, responsibility for HR data integrity for the unit, the achievement of learning and BBBEE targets, the application of company reward and recognition systems including remuneration, benefit and incentive programmes, HR governance and counsel; strategies to enhance a positive employee relations environment, community engagement projects and stakeholder management, lead change management projects, and the presentation of the HR strategy, plans and financial reporting for the function (including HR analytics, costing and statistics).
Through partnering with top and senior management, external strategic partners, HR and learning communities across business operations, the role will need to to understand the overall business and strategic objectives, to ensure the work prioritized aligns with the business roadmap. provide operational consultation on people optimisation, improvement opportunities to Employee Engagement and Culture; and successfully manages a range of change projects, mitigating any people-based risks to the business.
This will be achieved through collaboration with Central Office and Business Unit leadership teams; managing relationships with key stakeholders (operators, unions, wellness providers, IHST, etc) to ensure optimised employee experiences with the aim of promoting the client as an employer of choice. The role will also focus on building and enabling solid and engaged HR talent to support innovative and sustainable HR operations and the future business vision.
