HR Manager Luxury Hotel – Location: Cape Town – Salary: Negotiable DOE

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and dynamic HR Manager to join a prestigious luxury wine estate located in Cape Town. This position is ideal for a proactive people-focused professional with a strong understanding of HR strategy, labor legislation, and employee engagement in a high-end hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all HR operations and ensure alignment with the estate's strategic objectives
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and talent retention processes
  • Implement and maintain effective HR policies and procedures
  • Drive performance management and training initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and industry regulations
  • Provide support and guidance to department heads and employees
  • Oversee payroll, employee benefits and leave management in conjunction with Finance
  • Handle disciplinary actions, grievance procedures and conflict resolution
  • Champion a positive and productive workplace culture
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR role, preferably in the hospitality or luxury sector
  • Relevant HR qualification (Diploma or Degree)
  • In-depth knowledge of labor legislation and HR best practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-departmental environment
