Location Requirement: Must reside in South Africa

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to support our US-based clients in all core HR functions. As an independent contractor working remotely, you will manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits coordination, compliance, and performance support. This role requires someone who is proactive, organized, and able to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism. You will play a key role in ensuring HR policies, processes, and documentation align with client needs and legal requirements, while helping promote a positive and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Administer benefits programs and assist with employee queries.
  • Support payroll preparation and timekeeping systems.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
  • Monitor compliance with labor laws and internal HR standards.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and performance review processes.
  • Handle employee relations concerns professionally and confidentially.
  • Support training and development programs.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and required documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 13 years of HR experience (additional experience ideal for senior roles).
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Skills
