Job summary

TotalEnergies Renewables Southern Africa invites applications for an HR Internship position in Cape Town. The role supports the HR team across recruitment, onboarding, reporting and employee lifecycle activities.

You will work independently and as part of a collaborative team within a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's degree in HR or similar.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar support role.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with HR processes, onboarding and documentation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide required support to HR Team.
• Ensure effective management and processing of recruitment files.
• Conduct reference and pre-employment verification checks.
• Monitor and facilitate onboarding of new employees.
• Manage process for temp/contractor requests including IDEAL creation.
• Update and maintain various HR reports.
• Ensure onboarding paperwork is completed promptly and accurately.
• Manage internal communications for new employees.
• Support HR initiatives including Better Together projects and organogram maintenance.
• Manage off-boarding, including termination and benefits paperwork.

Candidate Profile

• Provide required support to HR Team
• Ensure effective management and processing of recruitment files
• Conduct reference and pre-employment verification checks
• Monitor and facilitate onboarding of new employees
• Managing process for all temp/contractor requests including IDEAL (IGG creation)
• Updating and maintaining various reports
• Ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately
• Manage internal comms for new employees
• Support the HR Team in driving Better Together related projects/initiatives updating and maintaining of organograms
• Manage off-boarding process including ideal termination, collating documentation i.e pension fund, checklist, medical aid termination etc.
• HSE
• The job holder adheres to HSE rules and responsibilities by:
• Working in accordance with Company HSE rules, procedures, instructions and applicable legislation
• Supporting the integration of HSE requirements into HR processes
• Taking appropriate action to avert immediate threats to persons, property or installations
• Maintaining compliance with local laws and regulations
