Purpose of Position : Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Human Resources (HR) Generalist for a FTC fixed term contract position based in Cato Ridge, eThekwini, Durban. Applicants must be available immediately. The HR Generalist will handle various HR functions within the organization, acting as a bridge between management and employees. Ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and contributing to a positive work environment within the business.

Minimum qualifications and skills
  • Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Packages and Software Sage, Pastel, Oracle, Microsoft Office Suite : Excel and Outlook.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field ; Often required, along with 3-5 years of HR experience.
  • Analytical skills : Helpful for using data to identify trends and solve problems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality : A critical aspect of working with sensitive employee information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills : Essential for interacting with employees at all levels and building positive relationships.
  • Knowledge of HR principles and practices : A solid understanding of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and relevant laws and regulations.

Duties
  • Recruitment & Onboarding : Managing the recruitment process
  • Employee Relations : Addressing employee concerns, mediating disputes, and handling disciplinary actions.
  • Performance Management : Assisting with performance reviews, providing feedback, and supporting employee development.
  • Policy Implementation : Ensuring HR policies and procedures are up-to-date, communicated effectively, and consistently applied.
  • Compensation & Benefits : May assist with benefits administration & compensation-related tasks.
  • Compliance : Maintaining compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • HRIS Management : May manage HR information systems (HRIS) to track employee data and generate reports.
