About the Role

We’re looking for an HR Officer / Generalist to join our client’s growing business within the facilities and security services industry. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on environment, enjoys working across the full HR spectrum, and can balance compliance with employee engagement. If you’re a proactive HR professional who can manage day‑to‑day HR operations while supporting management with people strategies, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.

POSITION INFO : What you’ll be doing
  • Manage the full HR function across recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and exit processes
  • Handle employee relations, disciplinary matters, and grievance procedures in line with labour legislation
  • Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, EE, and other relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee payroll input, leave administration, and employee record management
  • Support line managers with HR policies, coaching, and best practice guidance
  • Drive HR initiatives such as wellness, engagement, and training interventions
  • Prepare HR reports, maintain HR systems, and contribute to audits and compliance checks
  • Assist with Employment Equity submissions and Workplace Skills Plans
What you’ll need
  • 2 – 4+ years’ proven HR generalist experience, ideally within services, security, or facilities industries
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR practices
  • Relevant HR qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Afrikaans or other African languages advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (required for business travel)
  • Clear criminal record
  • Strong organisational, problem‑solving, and conflict management skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and a solutions‑focused mindset
