Job summary

A company in the marine electrical sector seeks an experienced HR Generalist to manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with labor legislation and foster a positive workplace culture. This role requires at least 3 years of HR experience, knowledge of relevant laws, and strong communication skills. Salary is R18,000 – R30,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the full range of human resource functions within the organisation, ensuring compliance with labour legislation, and contributing to a positive and efficient workplace culture.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Administer employee benefits, leave, and payroll input.
  • Support performance management and training initiatives.
  • Handle disciplinary procedures, grievances, and CCMA-related matters.
  • Handle Employment Equity, Health & Safety, and Workmen's Compensation.
  • Conduct performance appraisals.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Minimum Requirements: National Diploma in Human Resource Management (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Package & Remuneration
