Job summary

A leading HR consultancy in Johannesburg seeks an HR Executive to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals. The role involves providing leadership in HR, ensuring effective talent management, and establishing performance management frameworks. Ideal candidates will have a Tertiary Qualification in HR or Psychology, possess strong stakeholder management skills, and be problem-solvers. A people-oriented approach and leadership capability is essential. The salary range is R1 - R1.4 million per annum.

Job description

Responsible for developing and implementing the HR strategy aligned to the objectives and requirements of the organisation.

Provide a leadership advisory role in all matters of people / HR ensuring effective implementation and support in multiple areas.

Develop an effective HR strategy that is practical to implement for the business and aligns to business goals.

Ensure strong talent is hired efficiently and aligned to best practice recruitment.

Establish and drive an effective talent management process with clear succession plans in place.

Continuously assess strategic viability of structure and roles to ensure alignment to overall business strategy, budget and objectives.

Develop and implement a robust performance management framework and plan ensuring measurable KPIs and links to reward.

Drive regular consistent engagement across the organisation through relevant communication channels and culture initiatives, supporting the desired culture.

Implement an annual engagement survey and develop strategic action plans for critical problem areas with monitoring.

Drive a strong learning culture via various training initiatives and leadership development.

Keep breast of changes and best practice in skills development.

Stay updated on labour legislative changes affecting the company and employees.

Ensure relevant IR cases are dealt with swiftly with minimal risk to business.

Provide oversight of general remuneration ensuring payroll and all related remuneration issues are working effectively.

Ensure the overall HR team is motivated and supporting the business effectively and efficiently to contribute to business objectives.Experience and Qualifications : Tertiary Qualification in HR, Psychology or related field.

Possess a solid understanding of complex HR and business issues.

Have excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to build key relationships within the business.

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.

Growth-focused, goal-oriented individual.

Able and willing to lead from the front, getting "hands-on" as required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A diplomatic and professional approach to conflict.
