Summary: Manage Human Resources for various clients within the consultancy from administration to advisory. Support in developing the Human Resources portfolio of the consultancy.
Reporting to: Senior HR Consultant
Location: Cape Town
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Work setup: Remote Work (ad hoc visits to clients around Cape Town)
Responsibilities
- Managing the relevant elements (admin, implementation, advisory) within the HR portfolio:
- Statutory Compliance (UIF, COIDA, EE, SDL etc)
- Employee related paperwork (contracts, policies, letters, memos etc)
- Remuneration & Payroll
- Onboarding & Induction
- Probation & Performance Management
- Training & Development
- Disciplinary Management / IR
- Talent Management & Retention
- Offboarding
- Organisational Development:
- Vision & Values
- Culture & Climate
- Employee well-being & engagement, etc
- Communicating with employees about HR-related issues
- Supporting, and where possible, advising our clients in People related matters or initiatives
- Being the primary contact point for selected clients within the consultancy
- Build & maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their recruitment needs, their existing teams, etc
- Demonstrate industry expertise in:
- Petrochemical, Oil & gas, Construction, Engineering
- Wholesale / Retail
- Accounting / Finance
- Public Relations & Communications
- Hospitality / Tourism
- Agriculture Technology
- Others
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to expand professional connections
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources
- Honors Degree in HR or Industrial / Organisational Psychology is advantageous
- At least 3 years experience working as an HR Lead / HR Consultant or in a similar role
- Experience in an agency environment handling multiple accounts is advantageous
- Based in Cape Town to serve Cape Town based clients.
- Own vehicle and valid drivers licence
- Systems: Asana & ClickUp, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Payspace & Simple Pay, Canva, Toggl, Workable
